This month Rotorua District Council's draft Long-term Plan is available for comment, giving you an opportunity to let the RDC know how you think it can best ensure that Rotorua is a great place to be young.

Come to a workshop to plan a Working4Youth submission and to develop ideas for your/your agency's submissions:

You're invited to bring your lunch with you for this lunchtime meeting.

Every three years councils in New Zealand are required to produce a Long-term Plan, which covers a horizon of ten years and will be applied from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2022. The Long-term Plan is the most important strategic document produced by the council. But before the Long-term Plan is set in concrete all residents and ratepayers have the opportunity to tell the council which parts of the plan they support or those areas where their views differ.

Rotorua District Council is seeking community feedback through submissions, which close on 3 May 2012. For more information on the draft plan and on making a submission, click here.
