The Mental Health Commission is holding meetings so you can tell them about the Mental Health and Addiction services in your area.
There will be a number of meetings on Thursday 22 April 2010 at the Novotel, Lake End, Tutanekai Street, Rotorua. The programme includes separate meetings for School Guidance Counsellors, Maori Mental Health Service Providers, Families, Consumers, and NGO Managers and Intersectoral Agencies.
These meetings are hosted by a Commissioner and two team members from the Commission. You will have the opportunity to openly discuss your views or your experience of getting support for mental health and addiction needs for yourself or for someone close to you.
See the attached invitation for information on the various meetings that are being held on Thursday 22nd April 2010.
If you can, please RSVP to liz.tomescu@mhc.govt.nz or (04) 917 8920.
The information gathered will be analysed for general trends to inform the Commission's advice to the Minister of Health.
If you need assistance getting there, please contact Liz Tomescu for details about how the Mental Health Commission can help.
If you cannot attend a forum, you are encouraged to send a written submission to liz.tomescu@mhc.govt.nz, or write to the Mental Health Commission, c/o Lakes DSV Submission, PO Box 12479, Wellington 6144.
