» 26/05/2010, Posted by Site Admin

TOHU Project aims to enable experienced youth workers access the National Diploma in Youth Work, an advanced qualification which can be completed over two years through a series of short professional development workshops/wananga.

The project is available to youth workers throughout the country through participating youth worker networks. We will bring the learning and assessment process to each area to minimise disruption for those with work and family commitments.

The National Diploma in Youth Work is a 200 credit level 6 professional level qualification offered through the Social Services Industry Training Organisation (ITO). The ITO is currently developing a degree in youth work and the Diploma will lead into it.

Tohu is available now available in Taupo, and Rotorua youth workers are able to participate. See attached information.

The next training dates are in mid June, so if you are interested email asasp to sarah@reap.org.nz
