Whanau Ora Providers Announced

The Whanau Ora Governance Group today announced 25 provider collectives and stand alone providers selected to develop and deliver whanau-centred services to families around the country.

Included amongst the 25 selected providers as a provider for Te Arawa (Rotorua) is Te Arawa Collective and Tipu Ora Charitable Trust. Included in Te Arawa Collective are: Korowai Aroha Trust, Te Runanga o Ngati Pikao Trust, Te Utuhina Manaakitanga Trust, Te Kahui Hauora Trust, Te Waiariki Purea Trust, Te Papa Takaro a Te Arawa Trust, Te Roopa a Iwi O Te Arawa Charitable Trust, Aroha Mai Cancer Support Group Trust, Te Whare Hauora o Ngongotaha Trust, and Tipu Ora Charitable Trust.

Governance Group Chairman Rob Cooper said the Expressions of Interest received from providers had been innovative and overwhelming. Providers' proposals transform existing services to become integrated and whanau-driven. There were 130 proposals submitted involving 350 providers from around the country.
