The theme for youth week is: Step Up, Be Heard, Take Responsibility, Be YOUth

Why 'STEP UP'? 'STEP UP' portray's the idea of rising to the challenge it also insinuated the idea of being able to continuously take another step, moving forward and upward.

Be heard is not just about young people having a voice and using it, it is about giving young people the space and the opportunities to voice their opinions.

Take responsibility could mean making informed decisions, realising that decisions have consequences, being good role models, breaking negative stereotypes and taking opportunities to lead.

Be YOUth is all about being yourself, taking care of yourself, doing things that make you happy, expressing yourself, experimenting, making mistakes, challenging yourself and everything else it means to be a young person.
