Subsidies Available for Mark Cabaj Workshop

Subsidies are available for people who work in Tangata Whenua, Community and Voluntary Sector organisations to attend the workshop with Mark Cabaj in Karapiro on 15 June.

With a subsidy the cost is reduced to $40. Subsidy applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis. To apply for a subsidy, email Tania.Austin@inspiringcommunities.org.nz

About the workshop:
The interactive workshop is for change-makers, community leaders, policy makers and community-led development practitioners from all sectors: central and local government, Iwi, business, tertiary education and research, consultancies, community sector and local communities.

It will focus on the knowledge and skills needed to work effectively "in place" with local people leading - including:

Designing and supporting collaborative, community-led initiatives

Recognising and working with simple, complicated, complex and chaotic issues - what's useful to know and what do we need to do differently?

How to understand and measure community change and results.

The workshop is being provided by Inspiring Communities working together with local partners in Wellington, the Waikato and the Bay of Plenty. Places will be limited.
