Youth and alcohol: Challenging the stereotype Of Substance (Australia) | July 2008

This short article by Dr Clarissa Hughes in the July issue of the magazine, 'Of Substance' briefly outlines the social norms approach to health promotion. "Rather than focusing on risk and perpetuating the stereotype of the 'bingeing teen', it supports and affirms young people by focusing on the healthy choices about alcohol that most of them make, most of the time.
