Funding Opportunities - Rotorua District Council

Two funds managed by Rotorua District Council are open for applications from August:

1. COMMUNITY SAFETY PROJECTS FUND
The 2011/12 round of the Community Safety Projects Fund is open from Monday 22 August until 4pm on Friday 7th October.

Applicants must be available for an interview with the Community Safety Projects Fund subcommittee on Monday 31 October 2011.

All applicants must meet with Community Safety Projects Officer Amy Duckett, prior to submitting an application form. Please contact Amy on 351 8172 or email amy.duckett@rdc.govt.nz for an appointment time.

2. ASSET DEVELOPMENT FUND

The Community Asset Development Fund is available for capital works - for the purchase of a new community asset, or replacement of an existing community asset (including additions).

Council will consider requests from:
* Community groups, cultural and arts groups, and sports and recreational groups
* Schools (under certain criteria)
* Marae that are available for public use for a variety of purposes, where there is no similar facility (such as a hall) in the area.

2011 Applications are open from Monday 29 August 2011 and close on Friday 4 November 2011

Application forms will be available from 24 August 2011.
