International Careers Conference: Wellington, November 2009
» 28/08/2008, Posted by Jane PearsonFor the first time since 2002, Career Services, with the endorsement of the International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance (IAEVG), will be hosting an international careers conference in Wellington from 19 to 21 November 2009.
The conference will showcase the latest in career development practice and policy in schools, tertiary and workplace settings. It will be a valuable forum for learning and gaining a national and international perspective right here in our own back yard. It will provide an excellent professional development opportunity to explore new ideas and gain insights for career professionals. The themes of the conference address a range of topics at the forefront of the careers agenda: best careers practice in schools, the changing nature of the workforce, technological advances and understanding the needs of indigenous and migrant communities.
For a full list of themes and to register your interest visit www.careers.govt.nz/conference2009. By registering at the website, you will be alerted via email when we call for presentation papers in September 2008, and registrations open in November 2008.
