Housing NZ announces changes to its role

Housing NZ has announced major changes to the way it does business, including withdrawing from a role supporting the social service needs of tenants, concentrating only on the provision of accommodation for its tenants, axing the Community Renewal projects that have been run in high need communities (including Fordlands in Rotorua), and staffing cuts of up to 10-15%.

As part of these changes, the Rotorua site office will close before the end of 2011.
