QPR Training - Suicide Screening and Triage

This training is designed for those working in roles where they may have first contact with people who are at risk of suicidal behaviours, such as youth workers, health and social service providers, nurses, police, counsellors, etc. The training prepares participants to make an initial assessment of risk for suicide and to triage the person at-risk to a professional for further assessment and care.
You will learn what to say and how, what questions to ask, and to initially assess the immediate risk of a suicide attempt as well has how to carry out and document an effective referral.
