RFP - The Flexible and Responsive Home-Based Initiative in Rotorua, Central North Region

The Ministry of Education has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for to provide the Flexible and Responsive Home-Based Initiative as part of the Ministry of Education Early Childhood Education (ECE) Participation Programme.

Home-based education and care is the provision of education and care to fewer than 5 children under the age of 6 in the child's own home, the home of the person providing the education and care or in any other home chosen by the child's parents.

Responsive home-based education and care services implement a range of strategies to value and validate the identity, language and culture practices of the child and their family/whanau/Pasifika family to ensure learning is appropriate, meaningful and effective for them.

Flexible home-based care education and care services are prepared to adapt operating hours to accomodate the range of circumstances that impact on the ability of families/whanau/Pasifika families to participate in ECE.

The closing date for responses is Wednesday 8 February 2012 at 12:00 pm
