Regional Volunteer Seminar to be held in Rotorua, facilitated by SPARC June 4
» 15/05/2008, Posted by Andrew JollWhat a fantastic opportunity for volunteers in the Bay of Plenty! Sport Bay of Plenty have linked in with SPARC to secure Gillian Peacock, National Volunteer Advisor at SPARC to come to Rotorua to talk and listen to volunteers on a wide range of topics. Gillian will be outlining new research on volunteering that has been done, highlighting the benefits of the 'Officials Learning and Development website' that has been created and also discussing Club Kit that has been designed to help volunteers with the basics of running a club. This is also a chance for volunteers to speak to Gillian about any problems that volunteers in sport are facing and also meet other volunteers working in the sector. The seminar will take place on June 4th from 6:30 - 8:30pm at the Waiariki Institute of Technology. Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
