Volunteer Awareness Week: 17-23 June 2012» 18/04/2012, Posted by Site Admin
Volunteer Awareness Week is New Zealand's largest celebration of volunteering and civic participation. It's a great opportunity to acknowledge the colunteers that support your youth work, and to encourage others to volunteer.
This year, the week of acknowledgement, celebration and awareness from 17- 23 June is built around the theme: Building communities through volunteering. 'Communities' can be interpreted as regions, interest groups, online networks, people with similar or shared values. It's about putting your communities and energy into action, and getting the impact we need to ensure all the communities of Aotearoa thrive.
Volunteering New Zealand can provide you with free resources to promote your events and the week of celebration.
